Getting Started
Platelight Installation - APNX V2-F
Thank you for your purchase of a printed APNX V2-F from Starforge Systems! These step-by-step instructions are meant to assist you with installing your Platelight and its standoffs before you go through the process of building your DIY PC inside of the chassis.
What You'll Need
- Your APNX V2-F
- Your Starforge Platelight
- 4 Platelight stand offs (provided)
- 4 Thumbscrews (provided)
- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A 1/4in. socket wrench
Your first step is to remove the panels from your chassis. We recommend quickly removing the top panel, back panel and both glass panels. The top panel holds both glass panels in place and the rest of the panels will need to be removed to install the platelight.
To remove the top panel, loosen (but do not remove) these two thumbscrews on the back of the top panel. Once loosened, pull up on the top panel and have it pop free.
Remove the small screws located along the front and side glass panel:
To remove the large glass panel, slide it back and away from the chassis.
And finally, to remove the back panel, push it away from the top of the chassis and lift it away.
With all of the necessary panels removed, it’s time to start on the Platelight! Turn it so that the diffusion plate is facing down and you can see the 3 pin connector as well as 4 stand off holes.
Using the 1/4in socket wrench, fix all four stand offs to the back of the Platelight.
This will require some downward force to re-tap each screw-hole.
Once fastened, line the Platelight up in the chassis.
When properly aligned, the 3 pin connector should be at the bottom of the chassis and the standoffs should each be available from the rear of the chassis.
Tighten each thumbscrew while continuing to hold the Platelight in place. The final result should have all four screws tightly securing the rear of the Platelight.
Your Platelight is now installed! Adding acrylic inserts can be done at any time through the top panel by using the top and side doors on the Platelight. Your chassis is now in a great place to begin your DIY build - featuring your Starforge Platelight!
