Austin, Texas – When one thinks of anime, the first thing that comes to mind for many is a flashy, action-packed sequence that keeps its audience on constant edge. Narrow escapes, powerful abilities and entire landscapes being destroyed with these epic battles. However, as anime viewership has grown, so too has the scope of what it is that viewers want. Starforge Systems announced a new collaboration today (April 28, 2026) with a line of products from the much beloved The Apothecary Diaries. This line of products exemplifies just how diverse the wants are for the modern gamer.
The collaboration marks the 9th different major anime IP that the Austin based System Integrator has launched. While many of their previous releases have been anime titles featuring a great deal of fast-paced action, This The Apothecary Diaries collab is a step in a new direction for the company. One that shows an understanding of the diverse expectations of modern gamers. Most people think of the violence and action in Role-Playing Games (RPGs) and shooters when it comes to PC gaming. But the rise of more relaxed, ‘cozy game’ titles in recent years speaks to an underrepresented market. While The Apothecary Diaries is not completely wholesome all of the time, its dramatic and mysterious elements are a far cry from the non-stop action in other anime.
“We wanted to create a collection that reflected the beauty and authenticity of the show,” says Adam Bamonti, Vice President of Creative at Starforge. The chassis, a custom-printed APNX V2-F available for purchase as a standalone bundle or with a complete PC, features intricate palace-like architecture, a go board and effects made to imply the way sunlight might shine through an open window. Both the PC and case standalone offer a desk mat, wall art and acrylic insert for the company’s proprietary PlateLight, an RGB lightbox specially designed for the APNX V2-F. The complete suite of desk mats and wall arts feature serene backgrounds with character-focused designs, emphasizing just how much the story of The Apothecary Diaries is carried by its plot and its cast.
