Developing the Starforge Systems DanDaDan Collection
Designing hardware for DanDaDan meant throwing the standard playbook out the window. Few series manage to collide yokai curses, alien invasions, and hyper-stylized action quite like this one. The goal from day one was to capture that exact eclectic feel across every PC case, keycap, and piece of artwork in the lineup.
When asked about what this collection meant to him, Ariel Luna, Starforge’s VP of Brand Strategy, shared his excitement about bringing the series to life in collaboration with VIZ and MBS:
“DanDaDan is such an exciting, colorful, and completely unpredictable anime, and I honestly couldn’t wait for us to bring this collaboration to life. This is our first full collection that includes a keyboard, and I genuinely believe it’s some of the most explosive and expressive work we’ve ever created. There’s so much energy and personality in DanDaDan, and we really wanted the collection to capture that same feeling!
It was incredibly important to us to work closely with VIZ and MBS (previously known as Mainichi Broadcasting System) throughout the process. Their feedback and collaboration helped us push the designs further and really explore what makes this anime so special. We wanted to embrace that unique contrast in DanDaDan—the psychedelic supernaturalism, the strange and surreal elements, and the strong influence of ’90s and 2000s street culture.
I’m incredibly proud of where the collection landed. It feels bold, chaotic, colorful, and a little unexpected, which is exactly what I think a DanDaDan collection should be. I’m really excited for everyone to finally see it.”
Whether you are looking for a complete, top-of-the-line prebuilt PC overhaul, a new case, a custom mechanical keyboard with high-performance precision, or you just want to haunt your walls with 100 km/h (62.1 mph!) Turbo Granny acrylic art, Starforge made sure the DanDaDan Collection has something for every anime and gaming enthusiast.
